Silent Giant is no more. I have one to prop things up, hold the door open,
etc. Not a burp out of it in years. Still looks nice though. Since I have
some really deep tanks these days, I just use the deep water pumps. They
definitely buzz. Setting them on a thick foam pad helps a little.

I used to use the Silent Giants in the mid to late 60's.  Are they still
available?

Also, are you using a PVC air distribution system?  I have purchased all of
the equipment to set one up in my fish room, but I don't know if the current
vibrator air pumps will supply enough air to my 14 tanks.  If there is not
enough air, then I really will have to scramble to get more air into the
system.
