You have given me an idea I will pursue. I have a 50 gallon aquarium with 
some Tanganyikan killies and cichlids. I use various commercial salts to 
maintain the pH and minerals in this tank. (Note: I usually can pick up these 
as aquarium society door prizes.) Every week or so I replace about 10 - 15 
gallons with new water adjusted to the parameters. The waste water goes onto 
the tomato plants or other garden plants. It will go in the daphnia tubs from 
now on.
