Re: Shipping killie eggs

I find a better survival rate when packing the eggs in moist peatmoss as if
they were annuals. I know of no killifish egg that will not tolerate at
least a few days in moist peat and it greatly prevents spreading of fungus
from any bad eggs. Seems like shipping in water causes too much bumping
around.

What is the best method for shipping mop spawning killifish eggs across the
country? We just received some in a film canister and only six of the
twenty have a chance. The sender is willing to try again, but using a better
shipping method. Thanks for your insights!
