BNL/JAKA received

Hi all

Got my BNL and JAKA this morning! I am very impressed with the
content of the two JAKAs this time round (as with all the others).

The idea of the SAA roundtable has been very rewarding and was
wondering if we will ever see anything like this for Nothos etc...

Also, about the Notho strain maintenance, If Dan would be so kind to
drop me an email with all the need info he will find a willing
volunteer on the other side of the email. Infact, I'm sure he will
find many volunteers lurking about on this and the African Annuals
list.

About the Beginners section in the BNL, it is inferred that annauls
have very short life spans. I have some N. elongatus collected in
Kenya last year in June that are still going strong and must be about
18 months old (the life span of the average neon, shame). My S.
zonatus are a year old and are still going strong and should be for a
long time. Annuals are also as easy as non-annuals and require a lot
less work. Maybe I should put something short and simple together for
the beginners section... hmmm....

Bye
