Re: Stamford, CT Killie Keepers
As Harry suggested, do check out what the AKA has to offer. However a lot of
people kind of "test drive" local killie affiliates or the AKA events before
joining. That is not unreasonable.
If a person only wants a pair of killies and a little advice, I don't think
they should have to join anything. (In that case check out the Fish & Egg
listings at the AKA site www.aka.org .) Be forwarned though, if you aren't
aware of this already, that it is hard to keep only one pair of killies. ;)
http://www.aka.org/AKA/Clubs/clubs.htm is the address of the AKA affiliate
club page. It lists a New England Killifish group and mentions that they
meet the third Sunday of every other odd numbered month. Unfortuately no
contact person is currently listed. (Those pages are often a little dated
It may be that someone from that group will catch this thread and can cue
you in on their activities. You could also go to the archives of this list
and do a search for New England Killifish Association.
You are also not too far from New York and New Jersey. Again check that page
for affiliates and contact people.
Good luck and all the best!
