Hi Edd--

I've got similar water conditions to your Ohio water--and can't grow water
sprite worth a darn. it does the same thing you describe it doing in your
softer water. I used to be able to grow it when I lived in northern New York
and had soft (Denver type) water.

Could this be less of a hardness issue and perhaps one of lighting or
nutrients? Anyone else have any tips?
