You do not want wild flies. As the name implies they fly, which is a bad
thing for feeding fish, you want wingless or flightless ones that will stick
to the surface of the water wiggling until their time is up. There are two
species D. hydei and melanogaster, I prefer the melanogaster as they are
smaller and much quicker to reproduce.
