While I fully agree that the most recent published review of the literature 
(Wildekamp, "A World of Killies" volume 3, Killidata by Huber and KMI4) 
synonymizes gularis and deltaense, we all know that like any legal opinion, 
it is only as good as the most recent court decision. Hybridization 
experiments went to the 10th generation. I have kept both gularis and 
deltaense and they are quite different in appearance and behavior. DNA 
sequence studies may shed further information when and if it is done and 
published.
