Hello!
Mr. William Vannerson,
Referring your mail "Geneticically Engineered" Cyclopeeze.
Let me explain, Cyclopeeze is a bio-engineered nutritional organism and
genetically engineered also because
of its high nutritional profile, I mean to say the supersaturated saline water
which is rich of valuable micronutrients and other macro nutrients, helps the
animal with higher astaxanthene, protein and omega fatty acid. I believe this
because, during my research career in Israel with algae, as we increased the
salinity (30 on wards), pH , temperature and other water parameters the EPA and
DHA level of algal cells also increases.
About the genetically engineered term I would explain in following way" yet it
has been known that the so called Cyclopeeze, not all the eggs are hatched from
a given years of diposition. In fect, it appear that the lake become a egg pool
of diferernt generation and they hatch in different summer even from one
generation. This makes a mixing of genetic materials and that would be the main
reason why called genetically engineered.
I might be wrong but this is my understanding.

As I recall, they introduced the cyclopods into a lake they bought to culture
them.  It could be what they are referring to, but I can't say for sure.
