Re: How to submit entry for Photography Show Class at AKA Convention?



There is art and there is "fine art."  I have a great deal of respect for 
artists of all types.  I do, however, recognize that there is a great deal of 
difference between the two.  In some cases it takes decades, or even 
centuries, before a true judgement can be made.  Just because one has a 
degree, and a job, in computer animation does not automatically quality their 
work for the status of "fine art."  At its current state of development, 
digital imagry cannot compare to the work of someone like Ansel Adams.  Maybe 
the lack of patience in today's culture has something to do with it, but 
that's another discussion.

I'm going to drop this topic, since it's going primarily into the direction 
of personal opinion.
