RE: GE Lightbulbs
A little off topic here, but I'm looking for the smallest halogen lamp I can
find that would provide the full spectrum needed by corals. I'm thinking
about a micro reef tank, 2.5 gal. with a coral or gargonian a macro algae
and a couple of dwarf seahorses. I emailed GE a month or so ago, but
haven't heard from them. I'm thinking in terms of a desk lamp if I can find
a suitable bulb. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The Phillips equivalent goes by "Schedule 50." They are all daytime
"sunshine" color bulbs that have a wider spectrum than "Cool Whites" but
somewhat lower Lumens (more green and less red and blue in the CWs).
I like them, but some think they are too "orange" and prefer the Northern
Skylight effect of 6500K tubes. I think those are a bit too "blue." As you
can see it tends to be subjective.
