Re: Buying a Water Pump
Depends upon a myriad of sometimes complex variables -- but generally
you want a pump
which can pump to at least a 10 foot head and usually 250 gallons per
hour (GPH) . Some pumps can pump volume with no head pressure - others
can pump up to 20 feet but no volume. I once lost a large tank full of
large clown loaches when a submersible pump failed and pumped oil into
the tank so I now use oilless , mag drive or non-submersible pumps.
