The answer to that depends on what day you ask him. He has told me that he feeds flake food and "wax esters". The latter he claims is made from some cactus he has growing there and he claims it supplies HUFAs. I think he does feed the flake food, which is a reddish-purple, because the worms I get from him are usually quite purple in color, much more so than those from other sources. I am not interested in trying to produce them myself, when I can buy really vigorous healthy worms from him at a reasonable price.
I take all of what I am told about this with a grain of salt.
