Re: Differentiating gardneri females

I think your only option here is a DNA testing procedure! If you dont want
to spend the $10,000.00 on that, your next best bet is to sell them to the
local pet store as gardneri, no strain specified, and let them live out
their lives sharing a tank with Endler's livebearers and "chiclets"..

Hi all,

I've posted this before but there wasn't any response, so I thought I'd
ask again.

Is there any reliable way of distinguishing females from gar 'Baissa'
and 'N'sukka', or are they identical... fins, color patterns etc?

It's a bad mistake on my part but I'd like to put them back in order...
every fry is precious to me.

Also, if I have both Ap. biv funge & Fp. gardneri in the same tank, will
these two hybridize?

TIA,
Ronnie
