Re: Re: Need Tips Breeding These Killies
Even though you could not tell from the "tone" of my
first email, I really have your best interests at
heart. When you do well the hobby does well.
R/O units do not need any plumbing modifications -
they come fitted with a female end that attaches to
your laundry room sink, provided you have one and that
it has a male end. And if there is no laundry room
you can get a cheap adapter that will fit on to your
kitchen faucet. The units I mentioned are small and
portable. The other suggestions you have received
here are all well and good but if you have to change
out an entire tank or multiple tanks as can happen
from time to time, and you need to make 5 or 10
gallons of water or more to recreate what driftwood
does to a tank, how long do you think that will take?
I am speaking from the perspective of a guy who has
raised a number of difficult species with many tanks
going at the same time. I found the R/O unit truly
helped in creating great conditions for my fish
quickly and easily. If you only have a tank or two
then I can see how the $100 for an R/O would seem
stiff. And at the price I pay for killi's, you are
not going to see me hauling back 1 gallon plastics of
distilled water from the grocery store.
