This is a great project.  If it's done right you should also be able to 
save all new articles as pdf's before publishing.  This should keep the 
size of the files down considerably by saving the text files  with the 
font. Then the text could be searched, articles made available over the web 
to members who miss an issue, and gaps filled because of late renewals.
I'm assuming that when it's all done,  members would be able to purchase a 
complete set of all the issues of JAKA.
