Surprise Nothos.

Hi,

Boy, we do raise amazing fish. I few months ago I received some N.
symoensi that came in after a week in shipment. They were rough to say the
least. One male and a couple of females looked like they might make it. They
survived for about a month or so. I stuck a peat dish in their tank in hopes
I might get a few eggs. I never saw the fish go near the peat or even eat. I
left the peat in there for the whole month they were alive. When they died I
collected it and dried it. I didn't expect much. So this past Sunday I wet
it. Monday morning -- nothing. I figured that was it. Monday night I went to
bed without even checking it again. This morning I was about to toss it when
I decided to look one last time -- FRY!!!!!! Maybe 20 or more. I was stunned.
They are the brightest little guys I have ever seen too. Their bellies are
nice and round so I assume storage at 3 months was a good time. I hope I can
raise them and that I get a good sex ratio. It's been a while since I
ventured out of SAA's. It's funny, I was just re-reading a piece on symoensi
last night wishing I still had the fish and presto!
