Arrrrgh! [As Snoopy says!]
I just tried again and the thing works!

That point was crucial! I use the Windoze menus so habitually that I
completely overlooked that little "icon for illiterates" (read MAC command)
down inside the Adobe page.

Control-C also works for me now. I have no idea why I thought it was
disabled, before. [I'm also ashamed that I forgot about Control-A.]
Thanks all, for raising my awareness on this subject. [No, Bill and Barry,
no chance I'm ready to roll over and say I "like" pdf, but keep putting
stuff up the way that's easiest for you. The experts here will be able to
drag me along when I get mired down.]
Thanks,
Wright
Ob. killy content: Went out to Lake Lagunita, on the Stanford campus to look
for Daphnia a week or so ago. They had not started filling it yet, so it was
a prairie. I hope it will be full by WCW time (usually is) so we can collect
lots for the show.
