Re: Daphnia tank

Hi Duane--

Go to the horse section at Tractor Supply Co. and look at their big "muck
buckets." Variety of colors, rope handles (makes for easy dragging across
the long), cheap ($12 or so), durable (including outdoors and in the sun).
I've been using one for the past year for daphnia--the "bugs" do fine, the
bucket has held up well, and the price is right. I plan to invest in a
couple more as emergency tanks....

plastic tank they stock is a 50 gal. that sells for $52 and it is big, too
big for the limited space in my basement. It would be great for outdoor if
that was where it is too be used. I have had an indoor culture going for
about 4 yrs. and hope to keep it going as long as possible. Does anyone out
there have any suggestions that might do the trick for me.
Thanks in advance, Duane
