RE: Sodium thiosulfate

Rumor has it that it could have a detrimental effect on plants and bacteria
culture. I had trouble with an overdose of amquel killing my bacteria
culture in one tank. I have heard from other people that sodium thiosulfate
killed their plants or at least slowed their growth.

peace,

Does using excess sodium thiosulfate have any negative effects on fish?
Does it change any water parameters other than chlorine removal? I ask
because I have been just squirting in an unknown amount when I am filling my
holding tubs with
tap water. Is this acceptable practice?
