Can it be that my google is different?  Actually..  Yes.

Your message promted me to take a closer look.  And I've discovered that I made a common mistake by typing in an address that resembled www.google.com  I inadvertantly typed in www.goggle.com, which appears to be nothong more than a ruse to drive hits to commercial sites.  I only typed it in once, then I fell victem to the type ahead feature were IE auto fills the address after the first few matching characters.

Mia culpa!

Although I'll still stand by my observation that we are trending towards a more commercialized internet.  It's not pervasive yet, but it's moving in that direction.
