Poropanchax scheeli
All,
I am searching for the "Trigger" that gets my P. scheeli to be more
consistently productive. I am told that they come from brackish water and so
have been slowly raising the salinity in hopes this might provide the
conditions they seek. The current conditions are Temp = 73 F (22 C), 5 kH,
salinity = 1.00 sp. gravity, pH = 7.2, medium light intensity, fast
current/lots of O2. I am finding three or four eggs per week.
Can someone with experience either with this species or with brackish water
fish please help me out here? What seems to work for you?
Best,
