I've used both, off and on for over 40 years, and couldn't see a bit of
difference from the fish standpoint.

Plastic scratches easier, and sometimes cracks easier. Glass shatters, but
is easier to clean without damage. Bleach can frost many plastics, for
example.

Overall, I like my small glass tanks better, for the visibility of the fish
stays better, longer. YMMV.
