In general this discussion of bettas vs killies has been civil and I don't think it is off topic to talk about these phenomena - why some beautiful fish are difficult to sell for $5 while others go for hunderds. However, I do ask that you be tolerant of others. We are all in a hobby. Aspects of it appeal to some and not others, while some do more than one thing. I think it is unacceptable to put down other people because they find it interesting to line breed for certain appearances and colors. Even when you post in jest it can be taken as offensive.

So, please feel free to discuss such things but "be nice".
