As someone who breeds mostly angelfish, I got into killies for the BAP
points at my local fish club a few years ago.  Needless to say, I now have
about 20 tanks of killifish.  What I was truely amazed at is the fact that
killi breeders will pay for EGGS.  Wow.  Three eggs sell for the same price
as an 8 week old angelfish.  The problem is that the supply and demand curve
is nothing like the one for angelfish.  Far fewer people will buy killifish
than angels, so the volume market for angelfish wins out for most of my tank
space.
