Bettas OT

For me I prefer fish with inetresting behaviors. I
will admit it is cool to see Bettas do their bubble
nest thing but for me to keep a fish in a jar is a bit
boreing. I like the complex behavior patterns we see
in a complex ecosystem like in a planted tank as we
see our male Killies stake out the best breeding
grounds. There is nothing like the Delicate colors of
say Diapteron abacinum! When I flash my little
flashlight into a dark tank and see this little fiesty
guy full of sounk thats cool to me. Plus I like teh
challenge of repolicating a environment. Bettas are
easy to breed. My wife just bred some Bettas in her
classroom with her kids. Not that Killies are any
harder but some can be a challenge. However with all
things like Dogs and Cats people will play with
genetics and create these fancy strains if you will.
There is the challege to create new and better
strains. I do admire that from afar. But I admire all
fish I am just a fish nut. If I had the tanks space i
would keep just about everything. For now I think
Killies have realy caught my attention and of course I
love Apistos, badis sp. and ... you get the picture :)
