Re: OT. bettas

I don't know David....there are many different species of killie that could
only be more colorful if you plugged them in to a wall socket, and it is the
fact that there are many species not just one that make them better (in my
book).

I don't mean to say if you like bettas there is somthing wrong with you in
fact quite the oposite... I like fish all fish. I just happen to like
killies the most.

But anyway I did not intend to start a thread about bettas vs killies. I was
mearly looking for a little education.... Why is it that a betta (a 2.99
fish in my mind) selling for over 300.00? Sure hats off to the betta
breeders they have made some significant changes to the appearance of the
fish from that of the ones in the wild. But are they worth that much? I
mean, I have probably close to 200 male fish (killies) right now if they
were selling at this price that would net me 60,000.00 that is a lot of
cash.

Thanks,
John

I am not a big Betta fan or anything But I do not
agree about Killies being prettier then Bettas have
you seen some of those Crowntails they are
magnificent. No contest big bright colors. Just my
opinion.
