Perhaps far off your question, but for many years I raised Platy's. I found that once I exceeded 76-78 degrees, my ratio of males to females was about 80:20; oddly, my Mollies were reversed at that temperature. I am just getting back into killies again, but I would imagine there is a temperature influence on sex ratios as well. I would defer to people much more experienced than I on this topic.
