Re: Blackworms
Jim,
Hi! I managed to keep blackworms alive at room
temperature for about a week or so by rinsing them in
cold water a couple times per day. But I did lose
quite a lot of them at room temperature.
I had to buy a used mini fridge to keep the worms
alive longer. I can't convince myself to put those
worms in my fridge. I put 1 lb of blackworms in a
plastic shoe box. No, I don't use the blue worm
keeper. I lost some worms during rinsing but not much
at all.
After putting them in the fridge, I only rinse them
only once per day using the cold tap water. My water
has lots of chlorine but it doesn't seem to bother
them. Blackworms stay really healthy in the fridge. I
have mine for over 7 weeks already and they are still
doing very well.

Subject: Black Worms
Hello Everyone,
Does anyone have any practical experience in feeding
blackworms. I currently buy about a month worth's at
a time, and feed them over the duration of a month.
By month's end, they are pretty grungy from not
being feed. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Keep'em alive,
Jim Langan
