Water Changes

I am trying to carefully control a couple of tanks for
temperature, pH, and TDS. Because of temp, I having to
do water changes instead of just restarting the tank
every couple of weeks. Here is what I am finding is a
basic trend. I have rounded the numbers to make the
math easier to follow, but the trend matches the
actual results.

TDS of water 100 pH of 6.8, goes up 100 every 2 weeks
2 weeks, TDS is now 200
do a 25%water change
3parts@200 + 1part@100 / 4 = TDS of 175
2 weeks pass TDS is now 275
do a 25% water change
3parts@275 + 1part@100 / 4 = TDS of 231
2 weeks pass TDS is now 331
do a 25% water change
3 parts@331 + 1 part@100 / 4 = TDS is now 273

Basically, water changes stall the inevitable but not
for long. Since I am trying to maintain the TDS below
200, I have lost that control in less than a month.
As an aside, the pH also drops in a similar fashion.
At the current point, the pH stays at 6.0 or below.
Tank is 5 gallon, sponge filter, buried in plants but
not a lot of light. Any suggestions?
