Actually, don't be surprised if the Gularis turns the tables on the poor, week cichlids <S>.  I haven't any experience with Gularis and cichlids, but I once tried a gardneri with some J. Transcriptus and a few other species of Lake Tanganyikan cichlids.  I had to net him out quick before he mauled them all.  He actively chased them down all over the tank.
