Plant Quality

Maybe it's just me. I've been keeping fish since the "Year of The Flood."  Strange as it may sound, I enjoy raising aquatic plants as much as keeping fish. All of a sudden, the plants I am buying are...dying. My water quality is good, I haven't dumped toxic waste or nuclear isotopes in my tanks, etc. The plants are just crapping out. Has the quality gone down? What?  Just curious what your experiences might be.
