RE: N. rubripinnis KTZ 85/28
It seems like this debate has been on going for quite some time. I have
raised and bred the different "rubripinnis" types and from what my
inexperienced eyes can tell, there are more similarities than not amongst
them. Which may just mean that a trip to the optometrist is in order. Any
thoughts from the more knowledgeable what it would take to get a better
answer on whether it is or whether it isn't? DNA analysis? Does the hobby
have reasonably pure locations that could be tested? Have the different
locations been tested?

Hallo,
the Notho from KTZ 85/28 is a very nice fish, but it is not identified as
rubripinnis. Seegers uses "spec. aff. rubripinnis", and if you see the true
rubripinnis (TZ 83/5), there are some differences, not only in color, but in
shape and size, and the eggs and fry of your form are smaller.
