Re: Determination of frys' sex
Since most people raise their fish at the same
temperature that they incubate their killie eggs,
there has not been a hobbyist study published on
whether temperature of incubation or temperature of
raising determines gender. I doubt that there has
been a scientific study of this "problem" either.
However, there have been a number of studies which
seem to indicate that it is the temperature of egg
incubation which determines gender in crocodilians.
It probably is temperature of incubation, but that is
only a guess.
