RE: community killies
Hi Dave,
The 50 gal tank would make a very nice killie tank. Most of us breed and
keep our killies in way to little space. You could keep just about any
single non-annual species in your tank. If you add a lot of plants and a
filter which will not suck up fry you will get eggs and fry without much
work. All you need to do is get rid of the junk fish.
I have a 45 full of N. Rachovii. It takes your breath away. A tank of
Australe, lampeyes Gardeneri, Striatum or just about any killie would be
worth while.
Best regards,
~RJ~

I have a 50 gallon, heavily rocked and planted, with
- 12 adult black tetras (moderately aggressive, middle of tank)
- 2 Pairs Kribs (aggressive, bottom of tank)
Can I keep some killies in this tank as well??
how about australes or blue gularis, or other recommendations for an
experienced aquarist, but a newbie to killies?
Also, any sources for killies in Ottawa, Canada?
