Not exactly sure of what components your setup consists of, but try either a
coarser bubble air stone or just letting the air bubble out from the air
line without any stone/diffuser on it. We need some aeration for the BBS,
but we can achieve that by circulating the culture with just an air supply
bubbling through the culture media. In other words, without an air diffuser
on it the air supply.
