Just a comment -- You don't need to hook up the python or similar
venturi type syphon
to a faucet -- you can hook it up to a simple submersible pump and pump
the good
used aquarium water into a container for watering the lawn or house
plants or for avoiding
"new tank syndrome" when setting up new tanks.
