external signs of killi "pregnancy"

Hi everybody,

I'm new to the killitalk group and the hobby.  Quick question: with a 
lighter skinned or transluscent female (such as a gold garneri) is it 
possible to tell if females are carrying eggs with the naked eye?  I'm 
getting ready to seperate out a pair of fish to mate, but I'm not quite 
ready...BUT if I know for a fact that she's got eggs, I'll hurry up the 
process.

So the question is: if a female is "with eggs," is there anyway to tell from 
her outside appearance?
