2001 November ARK Meeting
The November meeting of the Arizona Rivulin Keepers is
fast approaching. We will be meeting on Saturday,
November 10, at 6:30 pm. The location will be the
Round Table Pizza at 9920 S. Rural Road. That is in
the shopping center on the northwest corner of Rural
and Ray Roads. Check our website at http://ark.killi.net
for directions and a map. Meetings are free and the
public is invited.
PROGRAM: This month's program will be an AKA
video. We will be watching Peter Tirbak's narration of his
collecting trips to Gabon. The video provides habitat
information, pictures of some truly gorgeous killies,
and an idea of what it is like to collect in an
undeveloped country. This is an excellent video.
SPONSOR: The October Sponsor of the Month was
JUNGLE LABORATORIES. Unfortunately their
donation did not arrive until after the meeting. We will be
distributing their samples at the November meeting. We
haven't received a response yet from our anticipated
November sponsor, so there might be some additional
products available at the meeting.
AUCTION: Every month we hold an auction and this
month will be no different. Attendees are encouraged
to bring killies, other unusual small fish, aquatic
plants, and live food cultures. The person bringing
the item will receive 70% of the sale price, with the
remainder going to the club.
DECEMBER MEETING: Our December meeting/
party will be in the AFTERNOON of December 8th,
starting at 1:30. Don't come at 6:30 - we'll be long
gone by then. The club has authorized Gary Kukowski
to purchase approximately $200 worth of "raffle" prizes.
Additionally, we have received confirmation that at
least two of our corporate sponsors will be sending
their products for this event. On top of this, ARK
will be springing for pizza for all attendees.
