Justin can't get many killies, because the monthly BAKA auction (and the
shipped boxes to other clubs) eats up much of the local supply. We have
fish that sell for well over a dollar at some auctions, too! <VBG>
Justin has superb Rainbows, Blue-Eyes, Anabantoids, and Live Bearers, as
well as many Cichlids, Tetras, etc. It is sad that we have not done a
very good job of supplying him killies.
Recent fish spotted there include the original *Poecillia (Molliensia)
sphenops* (as gorgeous as the old Innes pictures), and the dwarf red
form of *Badis badis (burmanicus?)*, which is another spectacular little
fish. [At about $50 a 1" pair, they were out of my price range,
unfortunately.]
Justin raises many of his own fish and plants. This means you can
legally get *Hygro* and other nice plants that are otherwise banned (for
commercial shipment) in CA. Plan on a visit when in the Bay Area. Get a
local to guide you, for half his stuff is hidden or at least hard to
spot.
