Re: re: shipping fish

Tom

Exactly as I said- Yours were marked something other
than "LIVE FISH"! Anything marked "live" will
(probably)go by ground. Packages marked anything else
(but not live) will probably be transported by air. As
they always have.

What I meant by "making it up as they go means"- the
local postmasters aren't exactly sure or don't fully
understand the regulations and current rules and
INTERPRET them as what they "think" they mean which
may have changed in the last few days.
I never take the information that I get from the
window clerk as the final word. If I have any question
of this type I always talk to the Postmaster directly.
Most of the clerks do the best they can but are rarely
fully up to speed as far as the regs go.

I suggest if you still have questions after speaking
to your local postmaster call the regional or district
postmaster.

Mine is in Royal Oak MI. She is the one who faxed the
latest regs to my local guy in Ann Arbor. I also have
talked to the postmaster in Dearborn (Allen Park )MI
which is another distribution center.
