  Since early in 1970's,until he died two years ago, John Fisher of Sarasota, 
  Florida raised thousands of discus fry and almost all were raised entirely

  newly hatched brine shrimp! He removed the discus eggs (on their flower 
 pots) 
  as soon as the adults stopped spawning activity. Brine shrimp nauplii were 
  was the only fry food he gave his fish. The "secret" was NEWLY hatched; not 
  over 24 hours of hatching time. He felt the shrimp were the smallest size
