5 gallon water bottle use

I get my 5 gal. water bottles at the local grocery store in the water
section. I get them full of water for 10 to 12 dollars. Once empty, they
are very, very useful, Jay. I have one for rainwater only, one for 1/2 RO
and 1/2 conditioned tapwater, one for conditioned tapwater, and one for
straight RO. They can be capped to prevent aeration, capped and shaken to
mix, capped and brought to fish meetings for show water, capped and put on a
shelf for use later. I will fill them and then place them on the top shelf
of my units and then siphon freshwater from them when I do water changes on
my fry, or just to drip in new arrivals.

I too use five gallon buckets from the kitchen at the jail I teach at, for
water changes and other things, but for having the right water on hand, I
think the water bottles/ car boys fill the bill the best.

Donna Recktenwalt was down visiting and can attest to the use of them in my
ever-cluttered fish room!!!
