Re: 55 gal containers

In Michigan, a number of places (roadside junk...er...ah...I mean resale...no I really mean junk stores) sale plastic containers. They look to be about 55 gal in size, usually blue and at one time contained various kinds of food products. They typically run about $15 - 20 each and come with a round black top. Also I have seen some plastic water tanks - maybe onetime water softener tanks. I got one at a garage
sale for $5. Been using it about 5 years with no problems so far. Hope this helps and take care. Joe.

A friend of mine has several white plastic (presumably food grade) containers this size that have a removable lid that is about 15" in diameter. They are much better than the one that I have (so far) that has had the top cut off, so can't be closed.
