Re: usps

I try to tell people I am going to ship to that 99 out
of 100 boxes make it with the fish in great condition.
Of course if you are the 1 in a 100, then that is bad.
My guess is the person will replace the fish to you at
no charge if they don't make it.
I shipped 8 boxes Saturday. 5 were delivered today, 3
are still out there somewhere. The boxes still in
transit are headed to California and Montana. I'm in
Georgia and it is alway 3-4 days there for me. As to
how long they were in the box, I get up at 5:30 on
Saturday and pack and pack and pack. Usually get to
the post office about 11:30. I had 3 boxes delivered
before 10:30 this morning. Figuring I was still
packing at 10:00 on Saturday, those fish were in a bag
less that 48 hours before being delivered.
I only know the condition of the fish in one box (I
read John's prior email so my fish to him got there
ok).
Right now, we all need to understand that the shipper
does his best and the receiver wants to get the best.
Its the middle area right now that is shaky and fluid.
We all have to communicate to everyone else and let us
all keep up with what the latest conditions are with
shipping.
I ship on Saturday. I order the 12x12x8 priority boxes
from the post office and ship in those. I get the big
sheets of styrofoam at Home Depot and cut them to make
the insulation. Yes I wish they were bigger, but when
I roll my cart in with my stack of boxes, they
definitely look like a 'bigger guy' shipping than me.
I am convinced that we get better shipping results if
we make the box look as professional as possible.
Hang in there and contact the person you got the fish
from.
