Re: Mailing Live Fish

Hi all--

I recently shipped a fish in a styro and they arrived fine. The key? I
labeled it "Live Tropical Plants, keep at room temperature." I haven't had
time to ask at my local PO about the new restircions, but I will (hopefully
this week).

As far as driving for killies goes, we may end up at that point, and there
are a lot of plusses as Karl mentioned. However, remember that not every
member lives in the midwest (killie paradise). I suspect that our 2 members
in Maine might find driving to get fish more difficult....That said, maybe
we need to work on establishing a network among ourselves so if we have a
member going to a show (or even on a vacation) they can transport fish for
other members....Members our here do this routinely for each other, and it
has worked well so far.
