There are advantages to having everyone stay thru the entire auction but
also it can be nice to be able to step out for a bit and just do some
talking with others outside the room before going on home.  Maybe some
"overall groups"  auctioned together would work well.  That way if you were
primarily interested in certain groups, you would be able to step out and
talk a bit rather than raise the noise level in the room making it hard for
others to hear what is coming up next.
The "coming up" list continually posted at the convention in Buffalo did
help on this though.
