Notho fade
Hi,
I just wanted to thank everyone for offering their advice. The tank
has a box filter now and very little water movement. There is fresh peat in a
large tub and some floating water sprite and java moss on the bottom. The
water is a little softer but still on the moderate alkaline side. I have
dimmed the light and a cool front moved through today so the windows are open
to cool down the fish room some. I am changing water every other day. The
fish are active and are not loosing more weight. There is no breeding
behavior and they still seem on edge, but I have some hope. I put in a dose
of flubendazole 5% for any internal parasites. It seems to work well on
livebearer wasting and it seems to have no ill side-effects. I am going to
add some najas tonight for more cover. I have never wanted to save a fish so
badly in my life. I have grown attached to the little guys. Maybe its just
the social moment in the country but I really want to see these little guys
thrive.
Regards,
Robert
