some bad fish was Notho fade
Hi All,
I don't think the fish are ill. I think they were just stressed in
shipment and then I am missing something here they need. They did feed on
some baby brine shrimp last night and this morning so there is some hope. I
am very worried about them as they are N. symoensi and it appears this fish
has become quite rare. I don't want to contribute to its disappearance. For
those who have never seen this fish and might know of someone with them, let
me tell you, they are one of the most fantastically beautiful killies I have
seen in nearly 40 years of killie keeping. The orange/blue coloring of the
males has to be seen to be believed. Imagine a dreamcycle colored N. rachovii
with wonderful blue highlights. A few years ago this fish was fairly common
in the F&EL and now is all but gone. If you like Nothos and want to work to
save an extraordinary species, I would suggest N. symoensi. It is gorgeous.
Regards,
Robert
