Fp. Kribianus, Fafinda Yellow

Hi Wright,

Just to let you know your lampeyes are still all doing fine. No eggs yet
though. Do they eat them? The temperature went over 90 this summer, I was
thinking of moving them into the basement but it did not bother them in the
least. I did increase the aeration though.

I just picked a few eggs from your rivs. The male is coloring up nicely.
They seem to like laying eggs in the java moss rather than on the mops.
Earlier egg collections were not fertile but the two I collected today have
developing fry inside.

The fish are watching me type this message and they send their regards.

Now regarding the topic, Fp. Kribianus, Fafinda Yellow, rumor had it that
you included a pair in the box you sent. I already have these fish. Mine lay
lots of infertile eggs. I feed live earthworms and frozen Bloodworms.
People tell me that they may be too young, too old etc. But no one who has
offered advise has ever done them successfully. Do you know who bred the
ones you sent and could you get me some specifics regarding the infertility
problem?

The Brits who first imported them have lost them. They tell me that the
Swedes are losing them after three generations. In light of the loss to the
hobby of the other yellow Fp. (schwozeri etc.) I am growing concerned.

By the way I found a different kind of lighting pannel to use for a tank
cover. It is made of Styrene. Are you familiar with this material?

Peace,

~RJ~
